“A Step in the Right Direction” is a prototype sneaker that detects Wi-Fi hotspots while you walk, this is successful project by mstrpln and Ubiq. This is another wearable trendy fashion gadget. The left shoe comes equipped with integrated electronics embedded under the tongue flap. There is a pressure sensor beneath in the middle that starts to scan at every step.

There are 3 lines of LEDs which shows the signal strength of the nearest Wi-Fi node within a 50 meter area. It works like this, if the LEDs blink it means that there are no nodes available. If the LEDs are lit, it means that you are in the zone.
