Green Remote Control With Human Powered Battery

The Energy Saving Remote ControlA japanese firm - SMK Corp prototyped a TV remote control that excludes the need for a battery and just need a human to power it. The company has made a considerable contribution to reduce global warming.

The device somewhat looks like toy gun, with a trigger that will turn on the internal dynamo that generates the power. The channels, volume control and On/Off power switch can also be operated with the trigger.

The remote control holds an electromagnetic induction coil, high speed rotation gears, a power circuit, an infrared light emitting unit, etc. When the user pulls the trigger on the remote control, the coil will rotate at a high speeds. When the user pulls the trigger, the remote control changes the channel. Two consecutive pulls will turn the TV on or off. Volume control can be performed by pulling the trigger while pushing another button at the same time.

According to the company - as this energy saving device is just a prototype they haven’t decided when to introduce this product to the market.
