Nintendo Wii has been a great companion to all gamers around the world. Now the question is should a mind-controlled Wii 2.0 take control ? A T3 Magazine (artist’s imaginations), showcase a Wii headset accessory that uses brainwaves to control characters and also feature immersive in-ear headphones. Cool.
Brain-wave technology is already becoming a reality with Emotiv pioneering in-game systems. “The technology industry has never moved faster,” said T3 editor Michael Brook. “And some of the products rumoured to be on the horizon really are incredible.”
Who knows in the coming years your brains will be controlling Mario around a photorealistic world in Super Mario Universe. Till then - This gadget will be just a dream.

Cool! I am a HUGE Nintendo Fan and this just goes along with how they lead the way in gaming! Can’t wait! The Wii didn’t disappoint and I am sure this won’t either! Thanks for sharing it.

Gimmicky? How can you call making game movements more like reality “gimmicky”? So long as they make the games that serious gamers want to play (Call of Duty, Halo, Splinter Cell, etc.) with GOOD graphics, I think this will be awesome.
Think about it, no more having to wonder why your character is stuck in Call of Duty and getting shot by an enemy, you will just think “jump” and go over the obstacle.
Keep the movements with sports games. I would like to play Tiger Woods so long as they don’t use the same engine/graphics as the previous version (it doesn’t merit spending $40 for the SAME game). Let the system work for all gamers.

He can call it gimmicky because it’s relatively worthless towards games that actually give you your moneys worth. Take Twilight Princess the gamecube version scores significantly higher then the wii version solely because the controls for the wii are not only less accurate but a gimmick. As for nintendo leading the way in innovation don’t make me laugh, not only have they set gaming back a generation but motion sensing wasn’t even a new a idea. Hell Sony’s motion controls were patented before the wii mote was yet somehow they are the copycats. Not to mention every system from the NES on had some gimmicky third party motion control. Gaming is about the games content and quality and the wii has failed miserably on those fronts. Funny how the top selling system can only sell first party titles some of which aren’t even games (wii fit). I own all three systems and lots of games fro each one the only thing on the wii that wasn’t a disappointment is wii golf.
